Our mission

Develop and provide covert, shielded, tactical lighting solutions

Identify mechanical, tactical, and physical challenges the Warfighter, Law Enforcement, MILSIM, and Shooting Sportsman encounter and develop solid, useful, and practical solutions.

These designs are just a few of the products we are patenting and developing. We are looking for serious operators

to bring these and more to market.

At Punt & Puckle we strive for a clear goal of helping operators with the additional tools needed to help conduct their low light missions more effectively, safely, and discretely. The founders have a vision of simple tools to enhance operations, lower the operators’ visible light signature (light discipline) and increase their performance by eliminating unneeded movement.

Operators must get to their objective without being detected. Sometimes there is an obvious problem that has been accepted as a normal part of operation. We are introducing a paradigm shift from the accepted to the solved. We provide simple solutions to complex tactical lighting challenges by not limiting ourselves with the status quo. We believe users deserve every tactical advantage possible using new innovative ideas and products.

Many Night Vision Devices include an IR light source that moves with the device and helmet mounted light sources. This is a standard that has been around since before the AN/PVS 5 series NVG and works well for operations where an operator’s personal equipment is not hindering the IR light path. During missions where an individual weapon is being used this poses a problem of shadows caused by the host weapon. Using our patent pending intellectual property, the area directly under the weapon is illuminated thereby eliminating these shadows giving the operator an optimal, safe view of his footpath.

Our Patented Solutions

MPL (2023)

$79.95

The MPL (Mini Path Light) is a basic unit with only two LEDs. The board has been engineered with white/red and IR. This allows an operator to use only what they need to carry for a mission. The MPL uses a rechargeable lithium battery that charges through the USB-C port located on the rear of the unit. The MPL is an over molded waterproof accessory.

Trinity (2021)

The Trinity uses Mil Spec rotary switches that the operator can choose the lighting options the mission dictates. There are three LEDs forward and three footpath LEDs. These are white, red and IR. The operator chooses whether to use forward and/or footpath prior to mission execution then initiates the choice with the main power switch at the rear of the unit. We are currently engineering this as an overmolded, waterproof unit with a rechargeable power supply.

FIRM (2020)

We initially developed the FIRM (Footpath Illumination Rail Mount). This unit electronic board uses white and red or white and IR LEDs that the user can toggle between. The FIRM uses two CR 2032 replaceable lithium batteries. The FIRM could be produced in right or left hand versions. The FIRM is not waterproof.
